My Coding Journey…

So, before I started the Roots Technology Coding Program, I thought I already knew a lot about what it took to become a web developer…

Looking back, as I have completed Module 1, I sit here to say. I have a long way to go, but as I am saying that, I am having a blast coding. The highlight of my days is when I get to sit down, put some Lofi radio on, and code!

The most challenging part of Module 1, definitely was Project 1. My first attempt at putting flexbox to use on an actual website, I would be lying if I said It was easy. With that being said, the amount of joy I had when I completed my first website was through the roof, I felt like I was on top of the world. My confidence kept getting stronger and stronger throughout the projects, where when it was time to work on Project 3, it was like putting paint on a canvas, or coming from my world, catching a 3rd down go-route in the 4th quarter over the cornerback.

Roots Technology has had an enormous impact on my growth. TJ has done a great job guiding me, as well as instilling even more confidence in my own code, which goes a long way. I am excited to keep building and striving with Roots Technology!
